LISFL Round-up: East Hampton wins, moves atop Division I Group A
East Hampton FC recorded a vital victory that allowed the side to move ahead of Glen Cove Avellino and into first place of Group A in Division 1 in the Long Island Soccer Football League last Sunday.
Two goals from Jefferson Ramirez and a goal from Edwin Menbreņo gave East Hampton the 3-0 win over New York Serbia. East Hampton also won the Reserve game 5-0 with a hat-trick from Furkan Akyol and 2 goals from Eddy Juarez.
East Hampton and Glen Cove will play each other on Sunday, Dec. 11 in the last league game before the winter break.
A goal by Ben Levy gave the New York Irish Rovers a valuable point as they tied Glen Cove Avellino, 1-1. Tyler de la Torre had given Glen Cove a halftime. The Rovers won the reserve game, 1-0, on a goal by Josue Aceituno.
New York Polet defeated Port Jefferson Fusion, 5-0, with Misin Shala and Nicholas Bell scoring two goals apiece. Thomas Garcia also tallied for Polet, which also won the reserve game, 2-1. Leo Goncalves and Jose Torres scored for Polet, Tim Berdon for the Fusion.
Port Jefferson SC defeated Forest Park, 3-0, on goals by Ryan Zebuth, James Thristino and Kyle Campbell. Forest Park won the reserve game, 8-4, with Jose Villatoro recorded a hat-trick. Alberto Matsuura and Larry Mongelli had two goals apiece, and David Yepes one.
Real New York FC rolled over Kew Forest, FC 11-0. Jevaughn Waugh had a hat-trick, Odane Greensword and Omar Crowl had two goals apiece, while Jordan Chin, Ahmed Campbell, Sanjay Butler, and Samora Wright each had a goal. Real New York FC also won the reserve game 2-1 on goals by Rohan Smith and Colin Martin Jr.
Paul Goncalves tallied four times to lift the Mineola Portuguese to a 7-3 win over Leros at Mineola High School. Alex Tinoco (two) and Zach Gould (one) also scored for the winners. Co-captains Andre Cancelinha and Nick Maleganos anchored the defense. Leros scored all of its goals in the second half.
New York West Indies United defeated South Jamaica Portuguese, 7-0, on braces from Fernander Demas and Ronald Ade along with single goals from Ryan Steadman, Roody Derineau and Widmayer Jean.
College Point Flames picked up a big road win by defeating Floral Park FC, 3-0. Tom Garafola marked a return to the Flames lineup with two goals. Joe Meagher added a goal.
Oceanside United picked up a 3-2 road victory over Oyster Bay Park to keep its lead in the Division 2 East Group. Kevin Becker collected two goals and Julio Flores added a goal for Oceanside. Jelson Bonilla and Gerhard Zuniga scored for Oyster Bay.
Two goals each from Ryan Reichmann and Carlos Gomez gave Hicksville American SC a 4-2 triumph over South Jamaica Portuguese.
It was a big day for Steven Bailey as he scored all five goals to give NYCD Boldest Soccer FC a 5-0 win over Port Jefferson Fusion.
Glen Cove Avellino had a big 8-0 win over Garden City Centennials. Damion James scored 4 goals, Victor Avwontom had 2, and Samuel Minaya and Paul Oliva each had one goal for Glen Cove.
Goals from Pierre Sy and Stanley LaRouche gave Port Jefferson SC a 2-1 win over Integral Kings. Dason Noble scored for Integral.
Two goals from Ryan Reid, along with tallies from Marco Hamilton, Jefferson Hinds, Jason Hinds, and Patrick James gave Baisley United a 6-1 victory over Long Island Gaels VSP. Joe Grasso scored for the Gaels.
Istria went into the winter break as the West Group leaders after a 3-1 win over Lindenhurst, which drew first blood on Michael Hobbs' goal. Istria equalized in the 75th minute, off a free kick by Aleksandar Dekic. Silvio Zucchelli scored the game-winner in the 80th minute and Dekic converted a PK to put it away.
New York Polet defeated Oceanside United 4-0 on goals by Thomas Gelardi, Zeljko Faraguna, Michael Todd, and Alessandro Acquista. It was a big road win for Polet who go into the winter break as the East Group leaders.
Polonez defeated New York Hota Bavarians 3-1 on goals by Marek Tylutki, Grzegorez Kaplan and Adam Piechota. Will Corrigan scored for Hota.
Lindenhurst picked up a big 4-3 victory over Baisley United to keep pace with division leaders Polonia as the teams head into the winter break. Patrick Tracy, Anthony Fassino, James Roche, and Simon Riddiough were the goalscorers for Lindenhurst. O'Neil Johnson scored a hat-trick for Baisley.
The N.Y. Hota Bavarians beat New York Polet/Rudar, 7-2. Keles Resul led the way with a hat-trick, while Patrick O'Connor scored two goals, and Richard Marshall and Silvano Frantellizzi each had a goal.
