Baruch, Brooklyn men in 1-1 draw

MASPETH, N.Y. -- The Baruch College men tied Brooklyn College, 1-1, in the City University of Athletic Conference match at the Met Oval Saturday afternoon.

The Bearcats scored first in the seventh minute with Oshae Miller blasting a shot from eight yards inside the box.

Brooklyn responded in the 23rd minute with Valentyn Kharko hitting a perfectly placed free kick over the defensive wall to knot it up.

The Bearcats again out shot their opponents, 25-18.

Baruch goalkeeper Xavier Carrillo had six saves, while Jerron Steete finished with 11 for the Bulldogs.

Baruch meet NYU in a non-conference match at Randall's Island Field #10 Monday at 6 p.m.
