If you watched the United States' 4-1 disaster to Brazil in Foxborough, Mass. Tuesday, you probably have suffered enough.
If you didn't witness the slaughter in the international friendly, you might want to see the game through the eyes of a frustrating sportwriter, who tweeted the game from his living room couch.
The game in 19 tweets:
Wondering if I am allowed to criticize #USMNT or will Klinsi call me out for being a dumb American who doesn't know anything about soccer
Because the #USMNT looks like crap on defense. Me thinks it could be a long, long game for the red, white and blue
Brazil putting on a nice clinic tonight on how to keep the ball away from the other team; #USMNT might need oxygen at halftime from chasing
Ah, the halftime whistle, one of the first half highlights for the #USMNT
ESPN just showed Klinsi smiling -- was that stock footage or was that from this game. Not much to smile about tonight for #USMNT
Just wondering: who would you replace on #USMNT at the half. All of them is not an acceptable answer here, sorry
I realize that El Tri ain't Brazil, but heaven help #USMNT if it plays like this in October
#USMNT just equalized in 55'. The Americans have two yellow cards to Brazil's two goals
ESPN announcer says it is a discouraging game for #USMNT. I don't think so. The words humiliating and embarrassing comes to mind
Ah, Mix Diskerud has just come on for #USMNT. If he plays for USA the way does for #NYCFC, it will be Brazil 6-0
I guess it is time for someone to announce that Klinsi's contract has been extended for another 2 or 3 years
Just wondering if they were going to stop the game and give #USMNT an honor for not allowing a goal for more than 10 minutes
This result goes well beyond the score. It's the way #USMNT has played and the way they have reacted. Feel like some players have given up
There is no excuse for #USMNT's performance tonight. Will be interested in hearing what excuses Klinsi has to make
Glad I decided not to attend tonight's game. Would have wasted money on hotel, gas, ferry. Staying at home I only wasted 2 hours of my time
#USMNT players get a bonus for playing internationally. After tonight's insipid performance, perhaps the players should give that money back
.@ESPN just show Omar Gonzalez, who hasn't gotten into the match. Well, he is lucky. You can't blame him for this mess, that's for sure.
I envy fans on the west coast. They will have 3 hours to get this out of their system. Us east-coasters will have nightmares; sleep soon
There's the ref's whistle, ending #USMNT's misery. One of the worst performances I have ever seen from this team
