I have written on a number of occasions…
Message has been consistent from the beginning – we are barely a playoff team and unfortunately, sad to say – I may be correct.
My message has been simple – the midfield and specifically our outside middies are horrible – they create nothing, offer nothing, impose nothing and scare no one. In short they are bench strength players
The Red Bulls' designated players -- really – look at a team like Montreal ---- folks know and see the difference that a Marco Di Vaio brings where our two guys, they look ordinary at best. They never stick out as being special yet their salaries are multiples above the rest of the lads.
In most games Thierry Henry looks totally uninterested and hardly special or deserving of his $$4.35 million pay day.
Fabian Espindola (editor's note: he is not a DP) is just a nightmare and belongs on the bench. Whomever is doing the talent assessment needs to be replaced. I love Mike Petke but something is wrong, something very elementary is wrong; formation, motivation and or execution
Answers come from those who are paid to provide them. My job as a fan is simply to observe and try to support but it is getting more and more difficult as year after year we endure what mediocrity has provided (some franchises get it and some don’t) and what I observe makes me nauseous.
Just a totally frustrated season ticket holder of a mediocre franchise.
