The announcement comes after Arsenal FC confirmed they would be making a pre-season visit to New York for a match with the New York Red Bulls on 26 July.

Summerfuel will deliver coaching programs in conjunction with the 13-time English league winners, to offer six camps in four cities in the Northeast this summer. It is the first time that an English Premier League team has run multiple camps across the United States.

Coaching at the Arsenal Soccer Schools will be led by professional coaches who are coming from the Arsenal Soccer Schools in England. Training is based on the coaching philosophies employed by Gunnersí manager Arsene Wenger at Arsenalís London Colney training center.

Sessions will include drills, skills sessions, strength and agility training, and competitive play. Both day and overnight camps will be offered, each lasting five days. The Arsenal camps will be open to boys and girls ages 7-17 and will be held in June and July in New York on Randallís Island; New Jersey at the Peddie School; Connecticut at Avon Old Farms School; and in Boston at the St. Markís School.

"We are thrilled to be working with Arsenal FC to offer such a diverse number of camps this summer,Ē said David Evans, Summerfuel President. "Arsenal enjoys fantastic support in the United States, with a reputation for developing young players. The fact that the team will be here this summer, for the first time since 1989, makes this the perfect time to launch Arsenal Soccer Schools in America. We couldn't be more excited about working with such an amazing organization."

With student athletics growing more competitive, camps that offer training by professionals are becoming increasingly popular. "It helps give kids an edge. It's such a benefit for them to see how hard professional athletes have to train and the skill and dedication required," said Evans, whose company has also conducted camps in conjunction with Barcelona FC.

"We're really looking forward to working with Summerfuel and bringing Arsenal Soccer Schools to the U.S.," said Ross Metherell, Arsenal Soccer Schools manager. "It gives us tremendous satisfaction watching the kids learn and grow their skills and confidence."
