Leon 2, Queretaro 1
Jose Vasquez scored in the 77th minute to lift Leon over Queretaro 2-1 Friday at Estadio La Corregidora.
The Esmeraldas (4-0-8) took a 1-0 lead on Mauro Boselli's 17th-minute penalty kick, but fell into a 1-1 tie when Camilo Sanvezzo scored his eighth goal of the season, a minute before Vasquez latched onto a rebound to score the game-winner.
The Gallos Blancos played almost the entire second half shorthanded after a 47th-minute red card to midfielder Orbelin Pineda.
The loss extends Queretaro's (4-3-5) winless streak to three games, and drops them to ninth place.
Cruz Azul 4, America 0
Cruz Azul scored two stoppage-time goals on their way to a 4-0 rout of table-toppers Club America Saturday at Estadio Azul.
La Maquina take over eighth place in the standings at 4-4-4 and 16 points.
Mariano Pavone slotted the game-winner into the upper right corner in the 15th minute. Christian Gimenez made the score 2-0 in the 85th, and Gerardo Flores and Joao Rojas piled on in injury time to complete the rout, Flores with a sharp right-footer and Rojas on a breakaway.
America fall to 8-2-2 (26).
Tigres 1, Veracruz 0
Tigres were the beneficiaries of a disastrous defensive misplay that gave them a 1-0 win over Veracruz at Estadio Universitario.
Veracruz defender Leiton Jimenez put the ball into his own net in the 25th minute, for the only goal of the match.
Tigres finish Week 12 in fifth place with 20 points (5-5-2). Veracruz fall to 2-5-5 (11).
Monterrey 1, Tijuana 1
Monterrey closed to within three points of the top of the Apertura table with Saturday's 1-1 draw against Tijuana at Estadio Tecnologico.
Dario Benedetto drew first blood for Xolos, off his own rebound, in the 26th minute. Jesus Zavala salvaged the draw for the Rayados (7-2-2, 23 pts) with a sharp header in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Tijuana falls to 2-7-3 (13), and are in 12th place.
Santos Laguna 2, Morelia 2
Morelia rallied to a 2-2 draw with Santos Laguna Saturday at Estadio TSM Corona.
The Guerreros (4-5-3, 17 pts) took a 2-0 lead with goals on either side of the intermission. Javier Orozco opened the scoring from close range in the 45th minute, and Andres Renteria doubled Santos' lead in the 47th, breaking into the box to beat netminder Carlos Rodriguez. Darwin Quintero also came close to scoring for Santos, but hit the bar in the 21st minute.
Youngster Carlos Morales pulled Monarcas (1-4-7, 7) within one off a free kick in the 63rd minute, and Martin Alaniz knotted the score with a penalty kick in the 81st.
Pachuca 2, Jaguares 0
Ariel Nahuelpan scored both goals as Pachuca (6-1-5, 19 pts) blanked Jaguares 2-0 Saturday at Estadio Hidalgo.
Nahuelpan, who has three goals in his last two games, connected in the 13th and 54th minutes. the first came after Hirving Lozano stole the ball from a Chiapas defender, and the second with a sharp header.
Jaguares (3-6-3, 15) had a pair of solid late chances to get on the board, but Franco Arizala hit the post in the 60th minute, and Christian Bermudez missed a wide-open shot with six minutes left on the clock.
Leones Negros 1, Pumas 0
Leones Negros stunned Pumas 1-0 Saturday at Estadio Jalisco.
Fidel Martinez scored the game's only goal, off a header in the 57th minute.
U de G remain 17th in the standings at 2-4-6 and ten points. UNAM drop to tenth place at 4-3-5 (15).
Toluca 1, Puebla 1
All the scoring was over early as Toluca and Puebla battled to a 1-1 draw Sunday at Estadio Nemesio Diez.
Edgar Benitez gave the Diablos (6-4-2, 22 pts) a 1-0 lead from inside the arc in the 11th minute. Luis Noriega countered for La Franja (2-6-4, 12) in the 25th. Before halftime, Luis Esqueda threatened to double Puebla's lead but hit the post.
Atlas 1, Chivas 0
Atlas edged Chivas de Guadalajara 1-0 in Sunday's Clasico Tapatio at Estadio Omnilife, closing to within two points of first-place Club America .
Enrique Perez scored the only goal of the match, in the 24th minute, getting his head on Alfonso Gonzalez's pass back from the baseline.
Atlas improve to 7-3-2 and 24 points. Chivas (2-4-5, 10 pts) are in 16th place.
