It looks like the XSL’s first season will be its last. The league is expected to formally announce its dissolution on Friday.

The Xtreme Soccer League, which played only one season, is expected to announce it is folding on Friday. The league, one of two that formed after the Major Indoor Soccer League disbanded following the 2007-08 season, had four teams, the Chicago Storm, Milwaukee Wave, Detroit Ignition and New Jersey Ironmen. The New Jersey Ironmen have officially opened a deposit program for fans that are seeking season tickets for the 2009-10 season. For a payment of $50, fans can reserve their seats today for the season, which is scheduled to begin late this year. Complete story

Ironmen's Bullen to coach in high school
Acknowledged for his leadership qualities, New Jersey Ironmen defender Oral Bullen has a stage to display those attributes to younger players of the game.
