PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Knights' Sallhag (1 goal, 1 assist in win)

Brooklyn Knights forward John Sallhag, who was involved in both goals in the team's 2-1 Premier Development League season-opening win over the Newark Ironbound Express Sunday, was named the BigAppleSoccer.com player of the week.

Sallhag, who was honored for the week ending on Sunday, May 3, scored the first goal and set up the second one for the Knights.

Newark goalkeeper Derby Carrillo saw a ball, off a Dan Berkle pass, take an odd bounce off his post. Brooklyn forward John Sallhag was there to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage in the 44th minute.

Salhag set up Ryan Williams for a two-goal lead in the 73rd minute.
