Report: Red Bulls seek naming rights to Red Bull Arena
Red Bull Arena might not be Red Bull Arena for long if the Red Bulls have their way.
The Red Bulls have retained two companies to sell the naming rights to the soccer-specific stadium in Harrison, N.J., the Sports Business Journal reported Monday.
The two organizations named were the Leverage Agency and MP & Silva.
The companies will work together to find bids from both New York metropolitan area and global corporations, according to Red Bulls chief commercial officer Amy Scheer.
The 25,000-seat RBA has been opened since 2010 and has never had another name.
It will be interesting to see how much the Red Bulls will get for their naming rights. LAFC, which a Major League Soccer expansion team that will kickoff in 2018, reportedly garnered a 15-year, $7 million per year deal for its Banc of California Stadium.
