CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles will back stop the United States in its international friendly against Jamaica Friday night, head coach Bruce Arena said at a Thursday press conference.

Robles’ last international appearance came in a 3-2 victory over Iceland Jan. 31, 2016. His first match came in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

"We wanted to look at a couple of goalies out of this camp," U.S. coach Bruce Arena said. "Rimando played well last game and Nick has demonstrated that his experience and his ability is still there. That was encouraging, and we'll see how Luis does tomorrow night."

Arena was referring to keeper Nick Rimando, who recorded a clean sheet in the Americans' 1-0 win over Serbia in San Jose, Calif. Sunday.

The Red Bulls' iron man led Major League Soccer with 16 triumphs and 11 shutouts last season.

Robles played all 34 regular-season games for the fourth successive season, bringing his consecutive games (and starts) record to 140 in the regular season.

He also reached 100 saves for the third time in his MLS career.

The U.S. men meets Jamaica at Finley Stadium here at 7 p.m. ET (FS1, Unimas and UDN).
