Kerr's goal lifts Perth Glory into draw
Sky Blue FC forward Sam Kerr scored her fifth goal in three matches for Perth Glory of the Westfield W-League Monday, boosting her team to a 1-1 draw with the Newcastle Jets.

Second-place Perth (5-1-2, 17 points), which trails Syndey FC by a point, extended its winning streak to five games as Kerr extended her goal-scoring lead. She has eight goals, three more than its closest competition.
Perth had an opportunity to take the lead after Kerr was taken down inside the penalty area in the 33rd minute. Newcastle goalkeeper Katelyn Rowland, however, saved the penalty kick from Vanessa DiBernardo to keep the slate clean.
A minutes into the second half, Newcastle drew first blood as Jenna Kingsley finished an open-net chance.
Kerr connected for the equalizer in the 69th minute. The Perth captain took on three defenders on top of the penalty area before chipping a well-struck ball over the head of Rowland
Kerr and Sky Blue midfielder Nikki Stanton started and played the full 90 minutes.
