CHICAGO - Three players with local ties -- midfielder Allie Long, defender Kelley O'Hara and midfielder-forward Crystal Dunn -- Tuesday were named to the U.S. women's national team 23-player roster for a pair of friendlies vs. Colombia next month.

Long, a former Northport High School and Long Island Fury and Albertson Express standout, has been capped four times in 2014. She performs for the Portland Thorns in the National Women's Soccer League.

O'Hara, a member of the 2015 Women's World Cup championship team, plys her trade with Sky Blue FC.

And Dunn, a Rockville Centre, N.Y. native and former Albertson Fury who earned NWSL MVP honors after leading the league in scoring, plays for the Washington Spirit.

The USA will train in Orlando, Fla. for six days before heading to Connecticut for an April 6 match at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford (7 p.m. on FS1). The teams will meet again on April 10 at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa. (2 p.m. ET. on ESPN).

Ellis will name 18 players to suit up for each match.

"We don't have that many international matches before the Olympics, so every game takes on increased importance as far as the performance of the players, the evolution of the relationships among the positions and the overall growth of the team," Ellis said in a statement. "Most of the players will be coming in from NWSL pre-seasons so we expect everyone to be sharp and we are looking forward to the challenges that a team like Colombia will present as we continue our Olympic preparations."
